Financial Reporting Toolkit is pleased to announce Version 2 of Formula Builder for MS Word.  Version 2 offers expanded features and improvements over Version 1.

The newest features in Version 2 of the Basic Edition include the following:

  • Add cells to your formula simply by double clicking the cell.
  • 1-Click Formula allows you to sum a range of numbers with a single click! It works similar to autosum in Excel.
  • Incorporate bookmarks in your formulas easily and quickly.  Bookmarks in formulas act like absolute cell references do in Excel.
  • It's easy to verify the accuracy of formulas with Formula Viewer.  Formula Viewer lets you highlight cells included in the formula.
  • Formula Plus Copy and Paste makes it easy to copy and paste formulas.  Copied formulas are automatically updated for changes in relative cell references.   For example, once you get one column of numbers formatted with formulas for subtotals and totals, there is no need to duplicate your work for the other columns.  Just copy the entire range to a new column using Formula Plus Copy and Paste and you have a consistently structured column of data.  Just update the data and click recalculate.

The Accounting Edition offers all the improvements listed above plus its newest feature, Numeric Formatter:  Numeric Formatter formats numbers that are both text-based and formula -based.  Use Numeric Formatter to ensure your numbers are consistently formatted or choose an altogether different format.

...and these are just the improvements!  Find out more about Formula Builder by visiting our Products page.
